Where it started

One of our founders had used Cat in a Flat before and knew the basic promise was useful: find someone trustworthy who understands cats. The problem came later, when a three-cat household needed care and the pricing treated each cat like a separate booking.

A normal visit pushed toward $120 an hour. The sitter was not the problem. The cats were not the problem. The platform rules were.

Multi-cat homes are not unusual, and they should not feel punished for keeping bonded cats together. That pain point became the reason to build Purrtacular as a cats-only platform with household-first thinking.

Purrtacular came first

Purrtacular is not a name invented for a quick marketplace launch. It comes from a cat-loving brand and community with more than a decade of history behind it. The Facebook page has been part of that story for years, giving us a real foundation in cat culture before we started building software.

That matters. We are web and software developers, but we are cat people first. We know the small details are the product: calm visits, clear updates, trusted sitters, fair prices, and profiles that make sense for cats.

What we are building

Purrtacular is for owners who want fair household pricing and for sitters who should not have to restart their reputation from zero. Purr-Port helps experienced sitters bring review history forward, while owners get a simpler place built around cats from the start.
