We are not open for bookings yet. This page exists because trust should be earned before it is asked for — not buried in a Terms of Service after sign-up.
Cat care is personal. Owners hand over their home, their routine, and the animals they love. Sitters invest years in building a reputation. We take both seriously, which is why we are publishing our safety commitments now — before a single booking takes place.
Below is what we are building, what is already active, and what we will have in place before the platform opens. We will update this page as each item ships.
Identity verification
Before bookings openOur plan is for every sitter profile to require government-issued ID verification before becoming bookable. We are evaluating third-party identity check providers and will confirm the approach before launch.
Background checks
Before bookings openWe intend to require background checks for sitters before bookings open. The exact provider, scope, and any regional variations will be confirmed and published ahead of launch.
Insurance
In progressWe are exploring pet-care liability insurance options that would cover sitters on the platform. Our goal is to have a policy in place before any bookings go live — details will be published when confirmed.
Purr-Port evidence review
Active nowSitters submitting Cat in a Flat history via Purr-Port are reviewed by a human before the badge is granted. We cross-reference profile links, screenshots, and optional owner references. No automated approval.
Review authenticity
Active nowReviews brought forward via Purr-Port are flagged as imported and linked to their source. We do not fabricate or anonymise reviews — what you see is traceable to a real booking history.
Active booking communication
By launchOur aim is for owners to have a direct in-app channel to their sitter during any active sit. We are building toward a communication reliability standard — if a sitter goes unresponsive mid-booking, our team would follow up with both parties.
Human customer support
By launchOur goal is human-first support with no bot-only responses. We are building toward a named-person support model with clear response time targets — exact SLAs will be published before launch.
Payment protection
By launchOur intent is for owner payments to be held by the platform and released to sitters after the sit completes. The cancellation and refund policy will be published in full before any bookings open.
An honest note
We are early. We are not hiding it.
Purrtacular is in pre-launch. We do not have every safety system built yet. What we have is a commitment to build them properly, and a decision to tell you exactly where we are rather than publish a polished safety page that overstates our current state.
